At the turn of the century, Bronzeville was a center for African American culture in the city of Chicago. The Great Migration had brought an incredible amount of African Americans into northern cities and they shaped the landscape of their neighborhoods for years to come.
This Black History Month, we celebrate the history and culture of Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood – a vibrant community shaped by Pullman Porters and their families.
Don’t miss “Building Up Bronzeville” a free event presented by Chicago’s national park. For more info, please visit https://lnkd.in/gUx2DHVt
